Andrada Mining Completes New Tin Processing Plant to Boost Production

Andrada Mining Ltd. has completed construction of a new tin processing plant at its flagship Uis Mine in Namibia, a move aimed at significantly boosting its production capacity and strengthening its market position. The company announced the new facility, known as the Jig Plant, was completed on schedule and within its budget.

The plant is scheduled to begin commissioning in the final week of August 2025. Upon completion, the facility will materially enhance the company’s ability to process tin ore, a key step in supporting its planned production growth.

Located adjacent to the existing processing facility, the new plant is designed for independent and scalable operation, allowing for future expansion without disrupting current production. It has a designed capacity of 80 to 100 tonnes per hour, with a maximum monthly processing capacity of up to 40,000 tonnes of ore. Andrada estimates a tin recovery rate of 70%, though final metrics will be confirmed during the commissioning phase.

For its initial supply, the Jig Plant will process material from pegmatites near the mine, with a tin grade ranging from 0.14% to 0.3%, and existing ore stockpiles. In a separate agreement, the company has secured a supplementary ore supply of up to 20,000 tonnes from Goantagab Mining, with a higher tin grade of 1.5%, providing a robust feedstock to support operations.
