Namibia’s largest mobile telecommunications operator, MTC, has been certified as an enterprise partner of Chinese technology company Huawei, strengthening collaboration between the two firms in enterprise connectivity and digital infrastructure solutions. The certification gives MTC access to Huawei’s enterprise portfolio, including cloud services, connectivity solutions and broader digital infrastructure offerings aimed at corporate and institutional clients.
MTC Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer Tim Ekandjo said the partnership will expand the company’s technology offering for business customers across multiple sectors. He said the collaboration is expected to benefit key industries including government, mining, oil and gas, financial services and other enterprise clients seeking enhanced digital solutions.
According to Ekandjo, the partnership combines MTC’s local market reach with Huawei’s global technology capabilities, supporting wider digital transformation and business modernisation efforts in Namibia. MTC and Huawei have an established working relationship in Namibia, having previously collaborated on major network rollouts including 3G, 4G and 4.5G infrastructure deployments. The latest certification is expected to deepen that cooperation, positioning both companies to play a stronger role in advancing enterprise connectivity and digital services across the Namibian economy.
