Andrada Accelerates Growth of Tin Production

A tin producer, Andrada Mining Limited (AIM: ATM, OTCQB: ATMTF) with a portfolio of critical raw materials mining and exploration assets in Namibia, has completed construction of the second processing plant (“Jig Plant”) at its flagship Uis mine. The Jig Plant was delivered on time and within budget, with commissioning scheduled for the final week of August 2025. Once operational, the plant is expected to significantly boost tin output by increasing processing capacity.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Viljoen commented, “The completion of the Jig Plant on time and within budget is a smart, low cost upgrade that will immediately boost Uis tin production on the completion of commissioning. The plant is a key milestone towards doubling production and positions Andrada well to capture the benefits of a robust and strengthening tin market.”

Located adjacent to the existing tin processing facility, the Jig Plant has been designed with a modular setup that allows for scalable expansion while operating independently, ensuring uninterrupted production at the primary facility. It has a nameplate capacity of 80 to 100 tonnes per hour, with potential to process up to 40,000 tonnes of ore per month at a recovery rate of 70%, with exact operating parameters to be confirmed during commissioning.

Initial feedstock will be sourced from proximal Uis pegmatites grading between 0.14% and 0.3% tin, as well as existing stockpiles. In addition, Andrada has secured an ore supply agreement with Goantagab Mining for up to 20,000 tonnes of ore at a grade of 1.5% tin. The Jig Plant marks a significant step towards enhancing the company’s tin output and overall cost efficiency.
