Andrada and SQM Partner to Unlock Namibia’s Lithium Potential

Windhoek – Andrada Mining Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with global mining giant SQM to accelerate the development of its Lithium Ridge project in Namibia.

The partnership will involve SQM funding a US$20 million exploration program over the next three and a half years, including a definitive feasibility study. This investment will significantly boost Namibia’s lithium mining industry and contribute to the global transition to renewable energy.

Lithium Ridge, located near Andrada’s flagship Uis Mine, is a fully permitted mining license covering 3,300 hectares. The project hosts multiple pegmatites containing lithium, tin, and tantalum mineralization.

By leveraging SQM’s extensive expertise and financial resources, Andrada aims to expedite the development of Lithium Ridge and position Namibia as a major player in the global lithium market. This collaboration underscores the growing interest in Namibia’s mineral resources and its potential to become a significant supplier of critical minerals.

Furthermore, Andrada has taken steps to strengthen its ownership of the Uis Tin Mining Company, increasing its stake to 100%. This move aligns with the company’s commitment to empowering local communities and promoting economic development in Namibia.

The partnership with SQM and the increased ownership of the Uis Tin Mining Company mark significant milestones for Andrada, positioning the company for future growth and success.
