The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC) has opened an Expression of Interest (EOI) process for the sale of its 10.2% equity stake in Rossing Uranium Limited, one of the world’s largest and longest-running open-pit uranium mines.
Established in the 1970s, Rossing has been a cornerstone of global uranium supply and a major contributor to Namibia’s economy for nearly five decades. IDC, a founding shareholder in the business, has now reached its investment horizon and is seeking interested buyers for its minority stake.
Rossing’s established infrastructure, strategic importance in the global nuclear market and substantial resource base makes this stake an attractive opportunity for investors looking to gain exposure to uranium mining in Southern Africa.
