KAESO to Champion African Innovation at AEW 2025

The African Energy Week (AEW) 2025 is set to welcome KAESO Energy Services, an African-owned energy services powerhouse, to its strategic programme. Represented by General Manager Jorge de Morais, KAESO will offer key insights into the evolving role of homegrown service providers in Africa’s upstream sector, particularly in enhancing well integrity, optimising reservoirs and building local capacity.

Operating across Angola and Namibia, KAESO has positioned itself as a go-to partner for both international oil majors and national operators. Its agile, cost-effective solutions are designed to boost asset reliability, extend production lifespans and minimise operational risks while simultaneously nurturing local technical talent. In Angola, the company is supporting the country’s expanding energy ambitions by delivering advanced, locally aligned services that reinforce national content goals and long-term energy security.

In Namibia, it is accelerating local inclusion in the energy space, most notably through its support for the newly launched Lüderitz Chapter of the Namibia Youth Energy Forum. The initiative is equipping local technicians, entrepreneurs and service providers with industry-specific skills, ensuring that the country’s emerging oil and gas sector translates into sustainable, inclusive growth. For KAESO, these efforts reflect a broader mission of empowering African nations to control and grow their energy value chains.

At AEW 2025, the company will share the technical and commercial strategies behind its success in delivering high performance well solutions, all while upholding rigorous HSE standards. The company will also present lessons learned from its regional growth and outline how African firms can remain competitive by embracing innovation, investing in people and forging strategic alliances.

“KAESO is a shining example of what African-born companies can accomplish when they merge technical expertise with a commitment to local development. Their participation will add a powerful voice to our discussions on resilience, efficiency and inclusive energy growth,” concluded Oré Onagbesan, Programme Director at AEW.
