Koryx Copper Reports Encouraging Drill Results at Haib Copper Project in Namibia

Another wave of encouraging findings from Koryx Copper Inc.’s Phase 2 drill program at the Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia have been released. As of right now, the business has drilled nearly 8,600 meters of diamond in 29 of the 37 holes that were originally planned. The findings, which display broad copper intercepts with grades above the average mineral resource estimate, continue to surpass expectations.

Among the most notable findings, hole HM62 returned 572 meters at 0.33% copper, including multiple higher-grade intervals such as 68 meters at 0.53% and 110 meters at 0.41%. Other strong results include HM51 with 112 meters at 0.32% copper and 12 meters at 0.58% copper and 0.09 g/t gold, and HM64 with intervals of 28 meters at 0.42% copper and 26 meters at 0.66% copper.

“These results confirm the potential for both tonnage and grade growth, particularly in the shallow parts of the resource which could be ideal for early-stage mining,” said CEO Heye Daun, who expressed confidence.
Additionally, drilling has uncovered large quantities of molybdenum (Mo), which are not typically associated with copper, and expanded known mineralization zones. These results suggest that a distinct Mo model is required. Later this year, an improved resource estimate will be based on updated geological modeling.

The project has seen slower drilling progress than anticipated, due in part to terrain challenges and delays in rig deliveries. However, four new man-portable rigs are expected to arrive by mid-2025, bringing the total to eight rigs on site. The company plans to complete 28,000 meters of drilling by year-end.

Additionally, Koryx is developing infrastructure planning and metallurgical testing, including water, electricity, and tailings investigations. By late 2025, a more comprehensive feasibility assessment and an updated technical report are anticipated, which these efforts support.

With the ability to support both traditional flotation and heap leaching processing processes, Haib continues to be one of Africa’s most advanced undeveloped copper prospects. Its standing as a significant and lucrative copper asset is further strengthened by the current results.
