Wacker Neuson Bids Farewell to Transformational Leader: Dennis Vietze Hands Over the Reins

After a remarkable seven-year tenure, Dennis Vietze, the Managing Director of Wacker Neuson South and Sub-Saharan Africa, is embarking on a new chapter. Effective October 1st, 2024, Vietze will take the helm of Wacker Neuson Australia & New Zealand.

Vietze’s African odyssey began in June 2017, and since then, his leadership has been synonymous with transformation. The company, under his stewardship, has witnessed phenomenal growth, doubling its turnover between 2020 and 2023. This success story is a testament to Vietze’s vision, the dedication of his team, and the unwavering support of Wacker Neuson’s dealer network and loyal customers.

The baton of leadership will be passed to Stefan le Roux, the current Sales Manager, who has played a pivotal role in driving exceptional sales figures across the region. With his deep-rooted expertise in the agricultural and construction sectors, le Roux is well-positioned to propel Wacker Neuson South and Sub-Saharan Africa to even greater heights.

“We are delighted to appoint Mr. Vietze, a seasoned leader with a wealth of intercultural experience, to lead Wacker Neuson Australia & New Zealand,” said Alexander Greschner, Chief Sales Officer of the Wacker Neuson Group. “We are equally confident in Mr. le Roux’s ability to continue the success story in South and Sub-Saharan Africa, given his extensive knowledge of the agricultural and construction industries.”

Vietze’s tenure has been marked by strategic initiatives that have redefined the landscape of the construction and agricultural sectors. A cornerstone of his vision was the robust dealer expansion plan that significantly broadened Wacker Neuson’s footprint across Africa, bringing innovative solutions directly to customers. Furthermore, the introduction of the Spanish brand, ENAR, under the Wacker Neuson umbrella, and the pioneering use of digital advancements like Smart Glasses, have solidified Wacker Neuson’s position as an industry pacesetter.

Recognizing the immense potential of the agricultural sector, Vietze actively pursued its cultivation, resulting in a well-balanced turnover split of 50% construction and 50% agriculture. This strategic shift exemplifies Vietze’s keen understanding of market dynamics and his unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable growth.

Until the official handover, Vietze will continue to lead Wacker Neuson South and Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring a smooth transition to Stefan le Roux. This collaborative approach guarantees business continuity and continued excellence during this period of change. Wacker Neuson remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering world-class products, exceptional service, and unwavering support to valued customers and dealer partners across the region.
