Bannerman to save US73 million on Etango

Independent technical consultants – AMEC Foster Wheeler has indicated that Bannerman could save US73million on its capital expenditure for Etango.

The project’s first processing optimisation study of the definite feasibility study update, together with extensive confirmatory test-work, maintains Etango’s position at the forefront of the global uranium development pipeline.

Etango’s study highlights fat capital reductions from a simplified crushing circuit and confirmation that Ion Exchange is a viable and superior alternative to solvent extraction.

In addition, process plant design and flowsheet remains low risk by industry standards, coupled with improved recovery and reduced reagent consumption.

Brandon Munro, Bannerman Chief Executive Officer anticipate to add value through continued technical enhancement of Etango uranium project.

So far, initial Etango DFS was completed in 2012, optimised in 2015 (mining) and 2017 (processing) with DFS Update to be continued in 2018.
