Namibia’s mining sector is poised for a showcase event of unprecedented scale, with the 11th Mining Expo & Conference set to hit the Windhoek Showgrounds on August 7th and 8th. The Chamber of Mines Namibia, buoyed by the enthusiastic response from industry stakeholders, is anticipating an event surpassing even last year’s record-breaking expo.
Early signs are promising. As of today, a staggering 145 companies have already secured their participation, booking a total of 242 booths. This eclipses the previous record that saw the entirety of the Windhoek Showgrounds filled. The Chamber is confident that this upsurge in interest will translate to an expo brimming with opportunities for exhibitors and attendees alike.
The event, proudly sponsored by RMB, a prominent financial services provider in Namibia’s mining sector, promises to be a central hub for industry professionals, suppliers, and stakeholders. The expo will offer a dynamic platform for exploring the latest advancements, technologies, and career prospects within Namibia’s thriving mining landscape.
This year’s expo theme, “Green Shoots for Namibia’s Mining Industry: A Season of Opportunity and Growth to Drive Economic Expansion,” reflects the renewed optimism surrounding the sector. The mining industry experienced a stellar performance in 2023, contributing significantly to Namibia’s national GDP and employment figures. This expo serves as a timely platform to capitalize on this momentum and usher in a new era of growth and prosperity for Namibia’s mining sector.
