DBN announces Resignation of the CEO

Dr. John Steytler, the CEO of the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN), has announced his instantaneous resignation to follow fresh prospects, the company made the announcement in a press release.

“Dr. Steytler has made a marked impact on the Bank,” said Board Chairperson Ms. Evangelina Nailenge, noting his accomplishments since September 2023.  We wish him well and appreciate his service, the board expressed gratitude to Steytler and his contributions during his tenure.

The Board has named Mr. John Mbango, Head of Coverage and Large Transactions, as acting CEO to provide continuity while the search for a permanent replacement gets under way.  Having worked as a seasoned Executive, Mr. Mbango is qualified to run the Bank through this change DBN guaranteed the public.

DBN assures its stakeholders of its ongoing commitment to promote economic development and sustainable advancement and stays faithful to the development objectives of Namibia.
